Kissing Scars is not just a simple action.
It is much more.
It is an attitude:
Never judging and always open
It is a commitment:
Never giving up and always being there.
It is a feeling:
Never hating and always loving.
It is what it is and it is all these things.
This is one of my friends who I am so proud of. She is 15 and is an amazing Warrior. I am posting this to possibly show others that recovery is possible. In February she too thought she would never go a day without harming. Today she still struggles but fights through everyday.
Anonymous asked: that does make sense :) thank you!
You are welcome!
Anonymous asked: i just wanted to thank you for being so encouraging :) as a girl who self harms, it fills me with hope that there are some guys out there who understand we are just broken, but so is everyone else. thank you!
Not quite sure I understand or agree with people who self harm are broken. They are simply people who need help. When something is broken then it can be fixed to be like new or like others like it. Since everyone is different there is no real fixing a person. So just because a person is going through a rough time doesn’t mean they are broken. If that makes any sense
Dear Beautiful Stranger:

Response, “I’m fine”
Do what is needed
If this at all sounds like the motions you go through, know that you are not alone. Many people struggle with this war much like you.
Recovery begins with going out of the daily motions.
You can do it my friend
Hey Beautiful or Handsome;
This world is filled with so much stress
I know with every stressor
The urge to relieve that pain comes
Please do not harm yourself though.
Yeah, you probably think that is easy for me to say
Well it is easy for me to say but it is not easy for me to do
It is fucking hard to honest
I do it though and so can you
You were knelt down crying
I reached out my hand and touched your arm
You turned your head
Behind the glistening tears I could see those beautiful brown eyes I love
I slide my hand down your arm, past the fresh cuts to your hand
You struggle to your feet and put head on my shoulder
I knew what was wrong
You simply say, “I am weak”
I slightly tighten my grip on your hand I am still holding
You slowly lift your head and our eyes meet again
I say nothing
You say nothing
Yet a smile comes across your face and you tighten your grip
Love powers through all challenges
Anonymous asked: can i ask for some advice
Sure anon, you are always welcome
Whether you be male or female you are beautiful
No, I am not bi-sexual
I simply see beauty as individualism
Many consider snow flakes to be beautiful;
Every one of them is different and amazing
It saddens me to see beautiful girls wishing they looked like stars
It saddens me just as much to know beautiful men do the same
So please take a minute to cherish your unique beauty
Whether you be boy or girl
You are beautiful
I think you are beautiful
Every girl with scars is beautiful
No it is not because of the scars
Those are merely a symbol of you surviving
The person under those scars is what holds beauty
Spent nights talking
Spent days laughing
Spent long hours worried
Spent my life trying to help
All that was seen was lectures
Not what I intended
A local private school in my area seems to have struck one of my nerves.
Earlier this week this particular school did something I see as disgusting.
A 15 year old girl was kicked out of the school because she self-harmed.
It all began when this girl posted a picture on her blog.
The school saw the picture and called the girl’s parents to come in.
Once the parents arrived the director told the girl to clean out her locker.
He defends his decision by saying it was best for the school and students
I know this type of thing happens all the time but to me it is so wrong.
All this school cares about is the well-being of their pockets
This poor girl needed support from the school not to be expelled.
We tell our teens to tell a teacher or trusted adult about these things,
Obviously none exist here.
Look at your arms, legs, stomach, or wherever you have self harmed.
What do you see?
Let me tell you what I see.
I see a story, a purpose, a defining time in your life.
Those scars are simply a physical reminder of something bigger
For that, they are beautiful, that gives them significance.
However, if you looked all over and found no scars,
I ask that you keep that way.
Scars can be beautiful and significant but you,
You as a whole are much more beautiful and significant.
You are beautiful!
